I led the design for Canvaversary, an annual lifecycle campaign created to celebrate and showcase each Canva user's unique design journey and milestones over the past year. The project aimed to craft an experience that would feel both personal and shareable, transforming users' creative milestones into storytelling through design in a captivating, data-driven narrative.
With Canvaversary, my goal was to design an experience that connected users with their progress, turning design habits and achievements into a visual story they could proudly share. I focused on a layout that balanced delight and personalisation with Canva’s brand voice, creating templates and visual elements that highlighted individual stats—like favourite colors, project counts, and creative themes—while reinforcing a sense of belonging in the Canva community.
The design approach centred on making data engaging and accessible, integrating vibrant visuals and intuitive layouts to encourage users to celebrate their creativity. Canvaversary successfully fostered a culture of pride and participation, offering users a compelling annual tradition that both celebrates and strengthens their connection to Canva's world of design.
The response from users was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing excitement and sharing their personal design stories across social media platforms. This widespread sharing not only amplified the campaign’s reach but also fostered a vibrant community dialogue, and the enthusiasm reinforced how meaningful this annual reflection was for Canva’s community.
